Fresh Dates, or the Date fruit, common Indian names include Khajoor, Khezur, Khejur, Khajoor, Khajoora, Eethapazham/Eendapazham, Khajur, Khajuri, Rata indi, Pericham Pazham. Smooth skinned, colouring ranging from red to yellow, chewy with a sweet  flavour. Rich in fibres, minerals and water. Eaten raw or used to make sweets and deserts.
